Tesla Company Description:In 2003 Tesla Motors Inc, located in Silicon Valley California set out to be the first company to build and distribute a zero-emission sports car. The dream became a reality when Tesla began taking orders for their "Tesla Roadster". While the Roadster was a great zero-emissions sports coupe it lacked in broad appeal and practicality; not to mention the 100k+ sticker price. The Tesla team then decided to take a more practical route to success by designing and creating a fully functional daily driver in the form of a family friendly sedan called the "Model S". The Model S is slated for production in 2012.
